Head Coach Joe Casalino

Joe brings twelve years of coaching success with him to the Patriots and is in his third season as Northern's head coach. Over the past two seasons, the Patriots have won 24 games and made two appearances in the regional finals.

Prior to Northern, Joe spent eight years at Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandria, VA, building a successful program that earned eight consecutive playoff appearances.

Joe played his college lacrosse locally at St. Mary's College of Maryland where he was selected to the all-conference team in 1993 and as team captain in 1994.

In Joe's "spare time" off the lacrosse field, he is the joint owner of Performance Strategies, a full service marketing firm specializing in customer-driven marketing strategies.

Assistant Coach Mike Kirschner

Mike is a first-year coach at Northern and will be working with the team's midfields.

A graduate of Stony Brook University, Mike fits in perfectly with the personality of this year's team.

When Mike's not on the lacrosse field, he works as a pharaceutical representative here in Southern Maryland.

Assistant Coach Len Casalino

The "godfather" of lacrosse in Calvert County, Lenny brings more experience than he cares to admit to the Northern sideline.

Head coach of the very successful Calvert Lacrosse Club for more than a decade, Len's teams scored wins over DeMatha, Gonzaga, St. Albans, and many other regional lacrosse powers during his reign.

Lenny proudly continues to play lacrosse now and was part of the USA Eagles lacrosse over-45 team at the World Games in 2006.

Head Junior Varsity Coach Leif Crider

Leif is in his second season with the NHS JV program and his first as head coach. Leif returned to coaching in Calvert County after serving as head JV coach at Bishop Ireton in Alexandria, VA.

Leif works for the Census Bureau in Suitland, Maryland.

Assistant Attack Coach Paul Lister

Paul is in his first season as an attack coach at Northern and is a product of the school's early years as Calvert Lacrosse Club.

Paul is actively involved in the youth programs in Calvert County where his sons play for Calvert Lacrosse Club.

Assistant JV Coach Mike Manyak

Mike is in his first season as a coach at Northern, and his second as a teacher of American Government in the school.

Mike played at River Hill High School in Maryland and is a graduate of the University of Maryland.

Coach Manyak will work with the JV defense and goalies this season.
