| Difficult Stretch Tests Teams |
Playing the most difficult part of the schedule hasn't been easy for the Patriots this season. Off to a rough start in terms of record, both the Varsity and Junior Varsity are searching for answers on how to improve their on-field performance.
The answer lies in the commitment from the players, coaches, parents, and school to meet the challenge through hard work and dedication to the team rather than individual glory.
Thanks to the success the team has seen in the past three years, it is easy to think that wins and strong performances come easy. They don't. They are the bi-product of months of work put in during the offseason and at every practice during the season.
With a selfless commitment to team and a rededication to a high standard of effort, improved results will return to the fields at Northern. |
| 2008 Schedule Updated |
Looking forward to the 2008 season? Check out the team's schedule. This year, Northern will host perennial power St. Albans, host Paul VI, The Calverton School, and The Wakefield School in this year's Casalino Cup, and travel out of conference for another difficult test at Southern (AA). |

| Three Seniors Headed to the NCAA |
Goalie Jon Athens has chosen to take his talents to Division II Presbyterian next season where he will have the opportunity to compete for significant playing time right away. Jon gained the attention of many schools with his outstanding performance at the Dixie 150 camp this summer.
Defenseman and Long Stick Midfielder Chris Traylor signed with Division II Mars Hill University to play lacrosse at the school in 2007-2008. After missing the majority of last season with two serious injuries, Chris worked hard this summer and gained the attention of the staff at Mars Hill.
Midfielder Jesse Jones will play for Hood College next year, a Division III school in Frederick, Maryland. Jesse is a true two-way midfielder, strong defensively and in the transition game.
We look forward to seeing all of you play next season! |
